Did you know that the Singapore Sports Hub organises free fitness sessions and programmes every day?
These take place at various locations around the Singapore Sports Hub and let you learn a new sport or workout routine.
The Experience Sports Programmes form the bulk of these and comprise a range of activities — from Cardio Dance to Yoga Moves — while other activities like the Keep Fit Taiji Wellness and the SuperTrail Weekend Speed Walk and Dash are also available.
Due to current Safe Management Measures, walk-ins are not allowed and each programme has limited spots to ensure the safety of every participant. Register in advance via the ELXR® App, available for download from the App Store or Google Play, or refer to the ELXR® app user manual.

Did you know that there are myriad outdoor facilities at the Singapore Sports Hub that you can use for free?
These are open daily from 7am to 10pm and include basketball and beach volleyball courts, lawn bowls and even a giant outdoor chess set.
You can also flaunt your skateboarding moves at the Skate Park, which is equipped with rails, a fun-box and a mini-quarter pipe. And don’t let our unpredictable weather stop you from going for a jog at the sheltered 900m-long 100PLUS Promenade indoor jogging track that encircles the National Stadium.
Note: Some of these facilities require booking. Visit the respective booking sites to grab a slot now.
Virtual workouts can be part of your 2021 fitness plans too. PHOTO: SINGAPORE SPORTS HUB
Did you know that the Singapore Sports Hub has launched a series of seven-minute workout videos?
The #7x7workouts are actually video recordings of Garmin Sports Sessions that are uploaded daily.
These virtual workouts are available seven days a week, don’t require membership fees and can be accessed easily online, making them perfect for those of us who can’t attend the workouts in person and prefer to work out in the comfort of our homes with our families.
The Experience Sports Kids Programmes let your child develop his or her motor and social skills.

Did you know that the Experience Sports Kids Programmes are designed to introduce young children to sports as well as develop their motor and social skills?
Choose from three programmes, each created for varying skill levels and age groups. If your young one is aged two to six, the Sports Hub Multi-Sports Class features six sports: soccer, rugby, floorball, basketball, T-ball and tennis. These classes usually take place on Sundays.
Older children aged seven to 12 will benefit from the Sports Development Series, a collaboration between Experience Sports and various National Sports Associations. The programmes under this series help to boost your child’s self-confidence and self-esteem, leadership skills and so on, while also letting him or her make new friends who share a common love for sports from a young age.
The third programme, Learn-To-Play, is part of the Active Family programme offered by the Health Promotion Board and includes classes on inline skating, for instance.

Did you know that there is a Sports Hub Gym?
Located on the second level of the OCBC Arena, it offers affordable memberships such as a 30-day gym pass for just $65. For now, under Safe Management Measures, each user is limited to a 90-min session and there can only be 28 gym-goers at any one time. Shower facilities are also closed, in line with government guidelines.
Did you know that the 3,000-seat OCBC Aquatic Centre has a 10-lane competition pool and also an eight-lane training pool?
The pools are also sheltered so you can have a swim, come rain or shine. If you prefer something different, join the aqua fitness classes ranging from Aqua Bike to Deepwater Aqua. The former is a 45-minute session that will have you pedalling, climbing, lifting and sprinting away in the cool water, and the latter is a 60-minute, low-impact class that uses a floatation belt to train muscle strength, making it suitable even for non-swimmers and those with joint issues.
Under Safe Management Measures, there are restrictions on the number of pool users.
